✨With our kit, you will experience a very traditional method using real urushi lacquers and real silver dusts, not with any artificial glues. Each kit can be used for around 12 minor repairs.
💛We offer two distinct types of urushi for your consideration💛
The first is the traditional standard urushi, a time-honored choice utilized by our ancestors for generations. The second type is a modern variant, developed relatively recently, which incorporates protein to reduce the likelihood of allergic reactions. If you are uncertain about your allergy status, we strongly recommend opting for the low-allergen type to ensure your safety and comfort!
NOTE: We regret that the TURPENTINE OIL included in our Kintsugi Repair Kit is now prohibited from export from Japan therefore we cannot ship abroad. The good news is that it is usually available at your local art supply/hardware store.
*Urushi lacquer is heatproof up to 100 to 120 Celsius.

If You Can Break It, We Can Fix It!
Kintsugi (or Kintsukuroi) is the Japanese art of using urushi lacquer, mixed with genuine gold to repair broken pottery and porcelain. The philosophy behind this technique is to treat the repair as part of the object’s history as opposed to treating the repair as something to hide as if it never happened. The resulting repaired pottery will be both visually appealing and durable as well.
For your daily use platewares and precious broken items, you should use genuine gold!
