  • Type of Urushi

    * **A) Kijiro Urushi (Top Coating & Polishing)**
An amber-toned, uncolored translucent lacquer designed specifically for top coating. It beautifully accentuates and preserves natural wood grains. While it cures to a elegant semi-gloss, it can be meticulously polished to a mirror-like luster using traditional Roiro techniques. Perfect for pen makers and wood artists.

    * **B) Josuke Nakanuri Urushi (Intermediate Coating)**
A specialized translucent lacquer engineered for intermediate layers (Nakanuri). It prepares and smooths the surface perfectly before applying delicate Maki-e or final top-coats. Utilizing the same high-grade refinement as top-coating Urushi, it ensures flawless layer adhesion and a professional finish.

    * **C) Nashiji Roiro Urushi (Golden Pear-Skin Effect)**
Crafted from highly transparent, select raw lacquer infused with a natural, plant-based yellow dye. Formulated specifically for Nashiji lacquering, it magnifies and enhances the brilliant reflection of underlying gold or silver powders. Polishes to a spectacular, high-gloss finish.
